Brett Colgreave was member of the Regulators who had previously assassinated Elias Quinton as an act of retribution. He also had prototypical nanites inside of his bloodstream, which allowed him to utilize an extremely unstable and potent form of synthetic pyrogenesis. His blood and the nanites were monitored by the external biomechanical augmentation that was found on the left side of his body.

He was once a Cesian who was arrested for being unable to pay his taxes. He was held in a government prison until the Stratocracy of Domi Concordia asked for a prisoner to be experimented on by Omniverge Multinational, during the development of transhuman nanomutations. After he went through weeks of experiments and bodily modifications, he became the first successful human to have synthetic pyrogenesis. However, the prototypical nanites caused him to seemingly die. He was cast away by the Stratocracy of Domi Concordia due to this, but survived his abandonment, and returned to Cesieteos to kill Elias Quinton, an act of revenge for having his life and body forever ruined. He later joined the Regulators.

Brett Colgreave was killed during Operation Black Deluge, by being caught in the explosion of the XB-81 Tau Accelerator. The explosion resulted in his synthetic pyrogenesis overloading, causing him to burst into uncontrollable flames, ultimately exploding.
