Castra Excelsa, also known as the Fort Excelsa Ruins, is a partially submerged Zabaeccan fort constructed around the 800s when the Zabaeccan Empire once controlled the lower lands of modern Luxuria. Sometime between the 800s and the 1000s (when the surrounding area was virtually deserted), the fort became flooded and eventually began to deteroriate due to this. What left stands of Castra Excelsa is now protected and declared a landmark by the Stratocracy of Domi Concordia. Due to its unique geography and history, thousands of tourists from across Junope come to visit the ruins.
