Operation Black Sky, globally known as the Day of Lilac's Destruction and the Bombing of Lilac, was a military operation carried out by the Corporatocracy of Harbitros by the orders of Fiscal Patriarch Strebor Ekaj. The incident was heavily criticized by pacifists and anti-war activists, but was heavily praised by Domi Concordia and other nations part of the Global War on Terror.

The Operation

At 3:30 AM on Nahvidax'k'ver VI, 2051, a fleet of 150 Harbian aerships hastily flew over the city of Lilac, Cadarus. Since mid-2050, Cadarus' capital city had been entirely captured and controlled by the Tullic Empire of Cadarus and the Adonte. The city's citizens were all either executed en masse, conscripted into the ranks of TECA, or forcibly ousted from their homes -- and thus a a civilian populace barely existed. Shortly after moving into place, the Harbian aerships began bombarding the terrorist-held city with all manners of explosives and gunfire. Propane missiles were also widely used in the barrage. The dazed TECA members had no time to defend themselves against the abrupt assail.

By 8:21 AM, almost all of the buildings that composed Lilac were levelled and smoldering rubble. A small squadron of five Inquisitor-class aerships were used to scrutinize the ground for enemy survivors. By the end of the operation, over 200,000 TECA members lost their lives -- delivering the biggest blow to the Tullic militarystate in history.

The Corporatocracy of Harbitros received worldwide praise and criticism for its actions against the city of Lilac. Most governments fighting against terrorism commemorated Harbitros' efforts -- and populations of many mainland Baeccan nations, such as Domi Concordia and San Locura, praised Harbitros' actions. Anti-war activists in Primondia and Isteroxe criticized Strebor Ekaj and Harbitros for destroying an entire city and potentially killing civilians -- despite little to no evidence existing to support the latter. Various legislative and administrative members within the Isteroxean Union also criticized Harbitros.
